Compression test
Apparatus as per IS 1293:1988,clause 24.4 Amendment :
The apparatus is to check the compressive strength of
the specimens. It is being made as per above clause &
kept in a heating chamber up to 80 degree c. The
apparatus comprises two steel jaws having a cylindrical
face of 25 mm radius a width of 15 mm & length of50mm.
The specimen is clamped between the jaws in such a way
that these press against it in the area where it is
griped in normal use. The centerline of the jaws
coinciding as nearly as possible with the center of the
area. The force applied through the jaws is 20N.MS
chrome plated body construction on with thick base
plate.
